Your tyre pressure should be as per the one suggested by your vehicle manufacturer. The recommended tyre pressure is set by the vehicle manufacturer and it is different for different vehicle models. You can find it listed on the placard located inside the driver’s door, owner’s manual, fuel tank cap, glove box etc. Besides this, the tyre pressure is also stamped on the tyre’s sidewall. And this pressure is the tyre’s maximum inflation pressure at which the tyre can safely support its maximum load rating. Since different vehicle models have different weights the vehicle manufacturers recommend the tyre pressure for each of their vehicle models to give the best results. This pressure is usually less than the one that you see on the tyre’s sidewall and should be considered which inflating the tyres.
For optimum results it is better to fill your tyres with nitrogen. The reason is nitrogen molecules are bigger than oxygen and so are less likely to escape out of the tyre as compared to normal air. Thus, the tyre pressure is retained for a longer duration when filled with nitrogen. Also, nitrogen has high boiling point and does not expand quickly. Hence, tyres filled with nitrogen are less prone to sudden tyre bursts.
If you are driving on a normal tyre, then it is unsafe to drive with a punctured one because in case of a normal tyre there are high chances of the driver losing the control over the car due to sudden loss of air. Moreover, driving on a punctured tyre damages the tyre further to an extent where it cannot be repaired. However, if you have a ZeroPressure tyre on, you can easily drive at a reduced speed of 80 Km/hour for over 80 kms even after the tyre gets punctured. This allows you enough time to reach a tyre store safely and get the tyre replaced. For more details and information about the ZeroPressure tyre please get in touch with your service advisor. Under-inflated tyres decrease the tyre life, they wear out faster towards the shoulders. Furthermore, under-inflation increases fuel consumption and affects car handling, causes hydroplaning, etc. Thus, a regular tyre pressure check is recommended.
Some of the signs that indicate that your car tyres are misaligned are:
On average wheel alignment should not take more than 60 minutes. It depends on what is required t fix as per the printed report upon checking it.
Driving a car with misalignment causes uneven tyre wear. If not corrected at the earliest the car tyres will cause noise, then at a sever stage the tyres will wear prematurely and lead to tyre damage compromising your safety.
It is important to maintain proper wheel alignment to avoid problems associated with steering, brakes, suspension, and uneven tyre wear. Wheel alignment improves driving stability, increases tyre life and optimizes the overall car’s handling performance. Here are service centers near you that offer the best wheel alignment services.
We advise checking the wheel alignment when changing new tyres, indeed offset alignment is only visible after few thousand kilometers. The printed report will show if you need to adjust the wheel alignment or not.
When you buy new tyres wheel balancing is recommended. Furthermore, wheel balancing should be done if you experience wobbling and vibrating wheels.
Tyre rotation is recommended because it will:
It is recommended that the car tyres be rotated every 10,000 Km or after 6 months.
Tyres of reputed brands come with a warranty against manufacturing defects, workmanship, and materials subject to certain conditions. Generally, tyre damage caused due to accidents, driver influence, or wear and tear are not covered under warranty. However, different tyre manufacturers offer different warranties for various tyre types. Top tyre brands like Michelin and others have the best coverage in terms of the warranty. The tyre dealer near you will help you in better understanding your tyre warranties and policies.
The 4-digit stamp present on the tyre sidewall indicates when the tyre was manufactured. The first 2 digits indicate the week and the last 2 digits indicate the year of the manufactured tyre. For example, 3419 means the tyre was manufactured in the 34th week of the year 2019.
Different countries have different recommendations, based on the local authorities’ regulations. However, in general it is recommended replacing your tyres every 10 years from the manufacturing date, even if they haven’t reached their tread depth limit and look useable. Additionally, tyre damage such as cupping, cracked sidewall, rubber cracks, or bulges and bubbles, etc. may also trigger the need for early tyre replacement.
In general, it will take 20 to 45 min to replace 4 car tyres.
Tyre mounting is a task that has to be left to a qualified tyre service technician. It requires proper equipment and tools along with the right skills set. So, do not attempt it unless you are a professionally trained tyre expert. Search for the nearest tyre shop to mount the tyres.
Fitting different sized tyres on a car is like wearing a pair of shoes with different size. The replaced tyre size should match the recommended tyre size by the manufacturer. Fitting the wrong tyre size can damage the car while undermining your safety in many ways. So ensure you find the right tyres for your car with the help of tyre experts near you.
It is not recommended to install tubes in a tubeless tyre. Tubeless tyres have a robust construction and are not meant for inner tubes. They have a rough inner surface as compared to the tube tyres. If a tube is installed in a tubeless tyre there are chances of the tube getting punctured due to the rough inner surface leading to unsafe conditions on the road.
Tubeless tyres can be punctured and are not fully immune to punctures. In general, with tubeless tyres, you will experience fewer punctures. The beauty of tubeless technology is that when a tubeless tyre is punctured, the air within the tyre discharges at a very slow rate. As a result, the driver does not lose control over the vehicle instantly.
Even if run flat tyres get punctured they can be driven for approximately 50 miles (80 km) with a speed limit of 50 mph (80 km/h). This can vary as per the tyre brand and its specifications. And, if you realize more than one tyre is punctured, stop immediately and look for professional assistance. You may reach out on the below numbers for mobile fitting services during emergency.

Check the markings that are present on the tyre sidewall. If you notice the letter R it indicates radial tyre construction. For example, 195/55 16 R 87V, here R means radial.
MICHELIN® Zero Pressure (ZP) tyres are run flat tyres that allow you to drive up to 50 miles (80Km) at 50 mph with a flat tyre. Different tyre manufacturers use different markings such as:
UTQG stands for Uniform Tyre Grading System. It is a rating system for the tyre’s treadwear, temperature resistance, and traction performance. In UAE, the tyres should have a smart RFID tag displaying these specifications. Generally, these specifications are mentioned on most of the passenger car tyre sidewall except for winter and light truck tyres.
It is recommended to replace your car battery every 4-6 years. In general, the car battery will last for around 5 years. However, there are many factors that affect the car battery life such as your driving style, road and weather conditions, battery maintenance, battery size, etc.
Depending on the usage and battery condition, it usually takes around 2 months for the car battery to go out of order. In simple terms, if the car remains unused for 2 months, then the battery gets cold and will have to be charged again for usage.
Car battery replacement usually takes around 15 to 30 minutes. The time varies depending on the car model, battery access, and other factors.
In general, for a complete car service around 3 hours is required only if no significant problems are encountered. In normal condition, the car is delivered on the same day. However, the time it will take depends on the type of service. Please contact the nearest tyre shop for more information.
Yes, driving habits affect the longevity of your tyres. Practicing good driving habits such as avoiding sudden accelerations, unnecessary braking, hitting on curbs, etc. increase tyre life.
The car’s maintenance schedule is usually outlined in the car owner’s manual. Each car model is different and car manufacturers have their own recommended car maintenance schedule.
Changing the car engine oil depends on factors such as oil type, engine age, road and driving conditions and car usage. In the case of normal oil, it is recommended to change the oil after every 5,000 km. If synthetic oil is used, an oil change is usually recommended to be done after 10,000 km since synthetic oil has more viscosity.
It is recommended to change the air filter every 20,000 to 25,000 km but if you are driving through dusty or muddy roads then change it earlier. Changing the air filter does not depend just on the distance but also on the driving and road conditions.
